Established in 1977.
Carbolic Chambers was established in 1977. Two of its nine members are Queen’s Counsel – one specialising in commercial work and the other in criminal and administrative matters - and there is a broad mix of experience, over many years, amongst the remaining members.
Collectively the members of Carbolic Chambers practise in almost every area of the law and appear before all Australian courts, tribunals and commissions of inquiry. The members are also regularly briefed to assist in alternative dispute resolution procedures and appear in arbitrations.
Chambers has facilities to conduct mediations both in person and remotely. Carbolic Chambers prides itself on having members who are straight-forward, practical and approachable.
Carbolic Chambers offers accommodation for a reader each year. The readership is for a period of 12 months, usually commencing in October to coincide with the finish of the Bar Practice Course.
